Village Culture Trek.

Makawanpur Village Tour This programme offers tailor made treks on any dates to suit you or can be done as a Group Trek. The route takes you through the Maharabat Hills to the south of Kathmandu and into the flat lands of the Tarai. Travelling on foot is the only way to see much of Nepal, firstly the mountains, but also, and perhaps more importantly, the people and their way of life. This trek gives you a special chance to go to an area not visited by other trekking companies. You go slowly with many stops, allowing you to meet the local people and make your own dreams come true. The walking is not hard but some of the paths are rough so good boots are recommended. The itinerary is a suggested daily guide but may be varied when necessary or advantageous.

For the second part of the holiday you will spend 3 nights and 4 days in the Royal Chitwan National Park. This is best undertaken during the dry season which extends from October to June. The preferred months for viewing wildlife are from February to June when much of the grass has been burnt or grazed. November to February are the clearest months often affording views of the Himalayan peaks to the north of Chitwan.
