The little-known CHANDA GIRI (Maharabat Hills) lies on the south west of Kathmandu Valley. The area itself has much natural resources, flora and fauna developing tourism activities but has been left behind being popular tourist destination because of the lack of promotions. Therefore, this new destination promoting by LAMA PARIVAR HIMALAYAN TREKS and offers an adventure holiday who keen to visit natural treasure. The trek offers an excellent breathtaking adventurous holiday, which has limit time in spite of going a longer trek. The Himalayan views from Mt. Annapurna to Mt. Kanchenjanga and Mt. Everest between these the snow clad Himalayan peak. In addition, over looking valley view of the Kantipur, Lalitpur, Bhatgaun, and many more thrilling Mahabharat hill range.

Outline Itinerary:

Day 1 : Arrival in Kathmandu

Upon arrival at the airport our representative will meet the group and transfer to hotel by private coach. Rooms will be assigned followed by short briefing about your stay – programmes in Nepal and overnight in hotel.

Day 2 : Kathmandu, Patan & Bhaktapur

Full day sightseeing of THREE QUEEN CITY: Kathmandu, Patan & Bhaktapur. AM: Kathmandu Durbar Square, Swayambu Nath and Patan Durbar Square- Krishna Mandir. PM: Bhaktapur city- Durbar Square: The golden Gate, Palace of 55 Windows five storied Pagoda – Nayatapola, Pashupati Nath Temple and Boudha.

Day 3 : Kathmandu – Chitlang Deurali 2000m

A One hour drive from Kathmandu carries us to Thankot (Pani Ghat) where the trek starts. A steep climb (about 1.5 hours) brings us to Chitlang Deurali which offers a breath-taking view over the beautiful valley of Kathmandu to the Himalayas beyond. We descend for two hours through tropical forest to Chitlang village where we have lunch and camp for the night.

Day 4 : Chitlang Deurali – Shimpany 1900m

The day begins (as all other camping days) at 06.30 with tea and washing water brought to our tents. Sunrise view over the Himalayan and Kathmandu valley rims. After breakfast commence trek to Shimpany where we camp for the night: Morning Pleasant walk along Chandraini hill through soft tropical forest and chance to see the birds. The Himalayan view in the day will be out of your imagination and camp will be on the forest ridge.

Day 5 : Shimpany

Begin your day as usual: Breath- taking view of Mt. Annapurna –Mt. Kanchenjanga sun rising over and night view of Kathmandu valley is simmering and sparkle lighting from the camp side. After breakfast visit to habea swory mahadev temple and Gupte swory cave. The Gupte swory cave people were found endless in their try.

Day 6 : Shimpany – Purandi 1750m

Begin your day as usual: Imagine morning of day 2-3.Will heading our next destination to PURANDI village for the night. After Breakfast short walk along the ridge then through the thick forest following animal greasing path to Purandi village. Pack lunch will be provided for picnic.

Day 7 : Purandi village explore

Begin your day as usual: After breakfast explore Purandi village, meet local people and discover their culture and lifestyle. Main Profession of People in the area is farming and livestock. Being close to the capital, Village lacks many basic amenities allowing discerning visitors to see a way of life rapidly disappearing in this modern convenience society.

Day 8 : Purandi – Pharping – Kathmandu

We make our way slowly along the main trail to the village of Pharping and then to the Hindu temple at Dakshin Kali. We later visit the nearby Buddhist monastery (gompa) above Pharping. A vehicle will collect us for the short ride back into Kathmandu.

Day 9 : Mountain Flight – Departure

Transfer to airport by car or coach, One hours Mountain Flight in the morning, over the snow clad Himalayan including the Sagarmatha (Mt. Everest) Group will be awarded with a Certificate engraved with individual names. After Mountain flight back to hotel then check out. Free after noon for shopping and etc. After all these transfer to International airport for final departure from Kathmandu onward journey.

Note: Visa Information: Visa can be obtain either on arrival in Nepal or from Nepalese Embassy or Consulates broad. Recommendation: Lightweight clothing is for May through October. Warm garments are required in October-March. An umbrella or a raincoat is necessary for the rainy season.

  • Transfers from Kathmandu city center to the start and end of the trek; 3 nights hotel accommodation in Kathmandu on a B&B basis. Full day city tour and camping equipment including a two-man tent, mattress, dining tent with table and chairs; and a toilet tent; all meals on the trek including tea and coffee. The services of our staff which include a sirdar, sherpa guide, cook and porters and Mountain Flight. Staff insurance is covered up to 19,000 ft.
